What is The Hub, anyway?

The Hub is a new congregational management system that stores our database, key church documents, calendar, schedules, and event information conveniently and securely. It can also facilitate communication with individuals, groups, and teams within the congregation.  It replaces our existing in-house designed database with software supported by an established church software company.

 

How do I access The Hub?

Email volunteering@elcvienna.org and request a login. Set a password and log on through the Emmanuel Lutheran Church website. Check out your personal profile—if you need to, you can make your own corrections.

 

Is there an app for The Hub?

Call ELC members straight from the Member Directory using the “Elvanto” app (available in Google Play or the App Store). Log in using elcvienna.elvanto.net as the domain name.  From the menu, tap Member Directory, search and hit the phone icon to dial—easy! 

 

How do I upload my photo? 

Go to your profile. Click on the photo.  In the box, drop a photo or click to use your file system. Help make The Hub a photo directory.

 

Where is the login page when using the browser on my cell phone?

On the home page, look for the ->] on the right side of the blue menu bar. Click on the symbol and the login menu appears.

 

How do worship volunteers do a swap/replace?

Go to the Roster. Select the correct service.  Click on the Red X.  This will pop up a page for either Replace or Swap.  Choose one.  On the Swap, you can select Sundays that are available to swap with.  Click on Send Requests.   The first person to accept your request will be scheduled.  Everyone contacted will be notified.

 

Why do we need The Hub?

The Hub organizes our members’ information and provides a calendar and a directory for the congregation’s use. We are using it to schedule Sunday worship volunteers. We can also communicate directly through The Hub to teams, groups, and individuals. The Hub centralizes our congregation’s information about worship, people, teams, and events. It replaces our old in-house database with a comprehensive system supported by an established church software company.

 

Why do we need The Hub if we already have Sign Up Genius?

They serve different purposes. The Hub is designed for scheduling teams of worship volunteers, not for broader invitations to serve. Our congregation has obtained a Gold Level SignUp Genius account, so all your SignUp Genius signups will be easily accessible in one place. SignUp Genius will be used primarily for scheduling volunteer opportunities not connected to Sunday worship services.

 

Do I need to do anything to be a part of The Hub?

Your information is already stored in The Hub. To access it or any other features, email volunteering@elcvienna.org

 

How do I access church documents on The Hub?

You can find Council reports, financial reports, and governance documents by logging into The Hub through the elcvienna.org website and clicking on Emmanuel Documents in the upper right-hand corner. The information is updated regularly.
